A leading healthcare provider is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to join their PET-CT department in Colchester. The role involves providing patient support, assisting Radiographers, and handling administrative duties. We have a fantastic opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join our team at the Turner Diagnostic Centre in Colchester within our PET-CT department. You will need to demonstrate experience working in a healthcare environment dealing with patients.
You will be working with a dedicated team of Senior Radiographers/Radiographers, Assistant Practitioners, HCAs, and administrative staff.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant to work 40 hours per week. The successful applicant will need experience working in clinical settings or the healthcare environment.

The candidate should have experience in a healthcare environment, as they will be required to provide administration and patient support, including chaperoning patients and assisting Radiographers during scans. They will also have some administrative duties related to the patient pathway, following standard guidelines. Good communication skills (both written and verbal), IT skills, and an understanding of radiation protection protocols are essential. Excellent patient care skills are also crucial.
Attention to detail, flexibility, organization, and enthusiasm are key qualities for this role. You must be able to work accurately and efficiently under pressure, meeting deadlines and turnaround times.
The role involves supporting Radiographers during patient scans, assisting patients, chaperoning when necessary, and handling administrative tasks such as making telephone bookings for patients.
