Job summary

Omega Resource Group is seeking a Mobile Pest Control Technician for the Corby/Peterborough area. You will visit stores, food halls, outlets, depots and offices to inspect and deliver pest control services in line with health and safety standards.

The role requires taking ownership of infestations, responding to emergencies, producing detailed reports, and advising on replacements. A full UK driving licence and pest control qualifications are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Royal Society of Health Pest Control certification or BPCA Diploma Part 1 & 2.
• Full driving licence is mandatory.
• Experience in pest control environment is required.
• Retail, leisure or FM sector experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of all pest related issues (infestations, cleaning, proofing) to resolve ongoing problems.
• Respond promptly to genuine emergency call outs from the Helpdesk.
• Formulate detailed reports on stores and escalate issues to stakeholders.
• Identify infestation non-repairable faults in plant/machinery and advise on replacements.
• Prioritise detailed recommendations to stores to meet timescales and defend against pest activity.
• Carry out proofing works and installations per current specifications.
• Advise and document to the SM of pest activity and potential impact on store operations.
• Comply with Health and Safety policy and use pesticides safely as per regulations.

My client is on the lookout for an experienced Mobile Pest Control Technician to join the team. You will have the opportunity to work on one of their leading supermarket contracts.

The role will require visiting stores, food halls, outlets, depots & also office sites at agreed intervals governed by the specification service delivery and carrying out a detailed inspection in a safe and professional manner with due regard to Health and Safety and Hygiene regulations. This would involve providing an effective service to our clients site to effectively communicate observations verbally as well as in writing via the reports.

Key Responsibilities – Pest Control Technician

• Take ownership of all pest related issues, i.e. infestations/cleaning/proofing, to resolve ongoing problems.
• Respond promptly to genuine emergency call outs from the Helpdesk.
• Formulate detailed reports on stores, escalating issues to all relevant stakeholders.
• To identify infestation non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Area Manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacement.
• To prioritise detailed recommendations to stores and to achieve agreed timescales and response times to proactively defend against Pest activity.
• To carry out proofing works and installations within the individual’s technical competence in accordance with current specifications.
• To advise and document to the SM of any pest activity and how this may be detrimental to the smooth running of the store.
• To always comply with the company Health and Safety Policy.
• Use pesticides in a safe and responsible manner as specified under the Control of Substances

Qualifications & Experience – Pest Control Technician

• Royal Society of Health Cert in Pest Control or British Pest Control Association Diploma’s Part 1 and 2.
• Full driving license.
• Experience with Pest control environment.

• Experience in retail, leisure or FM sector is desirable.

On Offer – Pest Control Technician

• £33,982.49-£37,565.78 (including on call 1:4)
• 40 - 45 hour week (choice of hours – salary will reflect this)
• Travel time paid after half hour each way
