As a field-based Pest Control Technician / Control Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining client buildings, premises, and surrounding areas free of infestation. You will ensure the delivery of our services to customer sites in a timely, efficient, and courteous manner. As an ambassador of the business, excellent customer service skills are required.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections of dwellings and commercial properties in and around Northwest to monitor and treat infestations.
- Provide effective and safe treatments for pests found during inspections or reactive works.
- Communicate relevant information to customers and clients regarding factors affecting their premises to assist in pest eradication.
- Apply pesticides safely in accordance with legislation.
- Report regularly to supervisors on treatments, problems, and recommendations.
- Maintain written records of treatments carried out in dwellings and commercial premises.
- Carry out treatments outside normal working hours, including weekends, and attend meetings as required.
- Participate in emergency call-out rota as needed.
- Assess potential infestation problems and recommend repairs or structural modifications to prevent future issues.
- Perform routine inspections, emergency visits, and job work for both commercial and residential clients.
- Work within a company dedicated to high standards of service in an interesting and challenging industry.
- Follow all H&S requirements, including manual handling, and monitor working hours to ensure compliance with WTD and DTD.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Full UK Driving Licence (Essential)
- Ability to organize and plan workload independently.
- Ability to work autonomously in a standalone role.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Professional and diplomatic demeanor when dealing with customers.
- BPCA/RSPH Level II certification or equivalent preferred.
- Additional training provided, including in-house and external courses.
