Job summary

Pests R Us Ltd is seeking a reliable Pest Control Technician to join our team in London and surrounding areas. You will visit domestic and commercial sites, identify pest problems, and carry out treatments using approved methods, while providing customers with practical prevention advice.

The role offers diverse environments, hands-on training, and opportunities to expand skills in rodent, insect, bird control and proofing.

Qualifications

• Desirable pest-control experience.
• BPCA or RSPH pest-control qualification.
• Commercial pest-control experience.
• Knowledge of COSHH and safe pesticide use.
• Experience with digital job-management or CRM systems.
• Experience in proofing, bird control or other property maintenance work.

Responsibilities

• Attend scheduled domestic and commercial pest control appointments.
• Investigate pest activity and identify the cause and extent of infestations.
• Identify common pests including rats, mice, cockroaches, bed bugs, fleas, ants, wasps, flies and other nuisance pests.
• Carry out pest control treatments safely and effectively using approved methods and products.
• Set, inspect and maintain traps, bait stations and monitoring equipment.
• Carry out follow-up visits and assess the effectiveness of treatments.
• Identify potential pest entry points, harbourage areas and contributing factors.
• Provide customers with clear advice and recommendations to prevent future infestations.
• Complete treatment reports, photographs and job records accurately.
• Communicate with the office regarding completed jobs, follow-up requirements and customer issues.
• Maintain pest control equipment, PPE and company vehicles in a clean and professional condition.
• Follow all company health & safety, COSHH and pest-control procedures.
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude when representing Pests R Us.
• Build positive relationships with customers and site managers.
• Identify opportunities for additional pest-control, proofing or preventative work where appropriate.
