Chester Zoo is hiring a Pest Control Assistant to join our busy Pest control team within the Animal and Plant Logistics Team. You will work on all pest control operations across the site, assisting the ATM Pest Control and coordinating storage of equipment and supplies.

The ideal candidate will be RSPH Level 2 or higher, have excellent verbal communication, hold a full clean driving licence and experience in hospitality or customer relations.

Responsabilidades

• Undertake pest control duties across the site.
• Assist with storage and procurement of pest control equipment.
• Ensure pest control reports are completed to Zoo procedures.
• Carry out pest treatments following health and safety protocols.
• Design and implement pest-proofing across site.
• Act as a point of contact for pest enquiries when ATM is off site.

We currently have an exciting vacancy for a Pest Control Assistant to join our busy Pest control team based within our Animal and Plant Logistics Team.

The role:

To undertake all jobs, duties and tasks set out by the Assistant Team Manager (ATM) Pest control. Working on all pest control operations across the site.

• To work alongside the ATM, controlling the storage and buying of all pest control equipment, supplies and tools.
• To ensure all reports completed through pest control software are to a high standard and in line with Zoo procedures
• To carry out pest treatments and ensure they are carried out in line with the correct health and safety protocols
• Complete the pest elements of the EHO inspections of all food outlets across site.
• Be a point of contact for all pest enquires across site when the ATM is not on site.
• Design and undertake pest proofing across site.
• Use skills and knowledge to advise on all pest issues across site.
• Operate in a variety of unique environments

This is a hands on role where attention to detail, animal care and problem solving skills are key

The ideal candidate will:

• Be qualified to RSPH Level 2 minimum.
• Possess excellent verbal communication skills.
• Be hard working, trustworthy, independent and with good organisational skills.
• Hold a full, clean driving licence.
• Have experience in customer relations
• Experience working in a hospitality environment and with associated pest control measures
• Competent in the use of Microsoft Office, and Pest control software

The Package

• Full time, permanent contract
• 40 hours per week, worked 10 days out of 14, including weekends and Bank Holidays as rostered.
• 33 days annual leave
• Salary £27,500 per annum based on 40 hours per week.
