Rochdale Council is seeking a part-time Pest Control Officer (18 hours 30 minutes weekly) to join our professional pest control team in Greater Manchester. The role requires working on a rota to cover extended hours across two and a half days, with duties including investigation and treatment of pest infestations, and maintaining records.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant Level 2 pest management qualification (RSPH BPCA or equivalent), experience in pest control, and hold a full UK manual

Position

Environmental Health are looking to appoint an 18 hours 30 minutes part time Pest Control Officer to work 2.5 days Wednesday to Friday to join our professional pest control team. To enable service delivery across an extended working day, a shift rota is in operation. Employees are required to work on a rota with specified start and end times for each working day. This ensures appropriate service cover while maintaining contractual hours.

Salary

The salary range is £27,274 to £29,071 pro-rata per annum.

About you

The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping people, have good customer service skills and have knowledge of the latest pest control treatments and relevant legislation and guidance.

Key duties

Essential qualification

• RSPH Level 2 Award in Pest Management, BPCA Level 2 Award in Pest Management, or an equivalent recognised Level 2 pest management qualification

Essential experience

• Previous pest control treatment experience across a range of infestations.

Other requirements

• Must hold a full current UK manual driving licence - a licene to drive an automatic vehicle will be considered.
