We are looking for an experienced Travel Consultant to join our store in Dorking. The newly opened store is based within our head office and will offer the same famous retail experience but will be by appointment only. The role will involve re-engaging with our VIP customers and driving local business opportunities.

This is a part-time opportunity, offering 3 days a week (The store is open Monday to Friday).

As a Personal Travel Expert, your personality, exceptional customer service skills, and destination knowledge are what our customers come back for time and again. You will create and sell worldwide holidays and own your customers' journey from start to finish; from enquiry to welcoming them back home. We ensure that booking holidays is as enjoyable as the trip itself…

What are we looking for?

Confident & well-travelled natural conversation starters who can bring their personality to work! Our Personal Travel Experts not only have a hunger for sales but also a genuine passion for making their customers' booking journey as seamless as possible. Therefore, our ideal applicant will:

• Be passionate and enthusiastic about travel, with first-hand experience of multiple long-haul destinations
• Be self-motivated and dedicated to building a repeat customer base
• Have a good knowledge of the travel industry and experience in selling & designing tailor-made holidays, including knowledge of third-party products
• Have a proven track record of hitting sales targets
• Manage own time effectively; there’s a lot to do before, during, and after the customer journey
• Be adaptable and flexible in an ever-changing, omni-channel environment
• Have experience using booking systems or the ability to learn new systems quickly
• Have experience working retail hours

What does a typical day look like as a Personal Travel Expert?

It all starts by talking all things travel while your customer enjoys the in-store experience—whether over a glass of Champagne, a cold Peroni, or tea from around the world.

You will deliver a personal service daily, inspiring and creating excitement for the customer by designing holidays that match their interests, tastes, and budget, with an absolute commitment to quality. As part of Kuoni’s retail vision, we offer a wider range of products—our famous tailormade Kuoni holidays, along with third-party products that may better suit the customer, still maintaining our renowned service.

Once the customer has booked their dream holiday, it’s your responsibility to ensure their experience continues seamlessly. We go above and beyond to surprise and delight our customers at different touchpoints before travel, acting as their concierge and point of contact.

Alongside exceptional customer service, you will work towards monthly sales targets and build relationships with our brand partners and third-party suppliers.
