Job summary

Pro-Finance is seeking a Personal Tax Senior to join its growing practice near Leighton Buzzard. The role focuses on personal tax compliance, taking ownership of a portfolio and guiding work from start to finish.

You will prepare and submit Self Assessment returns, manage deadlines, and liaise with clients and HMRC. Advisory work may be available as you grow, with ATT/CTA progress welcome but not essential.

Qualifications

Personal Tax Senior

£40,000 - £50,000 Pitstone / Leighton Buzzard
A growing accountancy practice is looking for an experienced Personal Tax Senior to join its team near Leighton Buzzard.

This is primarily a personal tax compliance role, making it a strong fit for someone who enjoys taking ownership of a portfolio, dealing directly with clients and managing work through from start to finish. Advisory experience is welcomed, but it isn't essential.

The Role

You'll take responsibility for a portfolio of personal tax clients, with duties including:

• Preparing and submitting Self Assessment tax returns
• Managing your own portfolio and ensuring deadlines are met
• Dealing directly with clients and responding to tax queries
• Liaising with HMRC where required
• Reviewing client information and identifying issues requiring further attention
• Supporting the wider tax team during busy periods
• Getting involved in personal tax advisory work where your experience allows

What They're Looking For

You'll need to have UK personal tax experience gained within an accountancy practice and be comfortable handling compliance work with a good degree of independence.

Ideally, you'll have:

• Strong personal tax compliance experience
• Experience preparing Self Assessment tax returns
• Confidence managing your own workload and deadlines
• Good client-facing and communication skills
• Experience dealing with HMRC
• ATT qualification or progress towards ATT/CTA would be beneficial, but isn't essential
• Personal tax advisory experience would be a bonus rather than a requirement
