Job description

Our client, a well-regarded accounting firm based in Manchester, is seeking a dedicated Personal Tax Advisor to join their team. This position is perfect for a professional with a strong background in personal tax who is eager to deliver exceptional service and strategic tax planning solutions to a diverse range of clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Personal Tax Compliance:
Prepare and file personal tax returns for a varied portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HMRC regulations.
Review and advise on income tax liabilities, ensuring timely submission of tax returns.
Handle client correspondence and respond to queries from HMRC on behalf of clients.

Tax Planning and Advisory:

Provide bespoke tax planning advice to clients, identifying opportunities for tax savings and efficiency.
Assist clients in understanding and managing their tax obligations, including capital gains, inheritance tax, and other personal tax matters.
Stay current with changes in tax legislation and offer guidance on how these changes may affect clients.

Client Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, delivering outstanding service and understanding their unique tax needs.
Conduct regular meetings with clients to review their tax positions and provide strategic advice.
Prepare and present detailed reports on tax planning strategies and outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience:
ACA, ACCA, ATT, or CTA qualified (or equivalent), with relevant post-qualification experience in personal tax.
Proven track record in managing personal tax returns and offering tax planning advice.
In-depth knowledge of UK tax legislation and regulations.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly explain complex tax issues to clients.
