We're recruiting for a Personal Tax Manager to join a reputable Top 10 chartered accountancy practice based in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. This role is suitable for an experienced Manager seeking a hands-on position within a well-established firm known for its excellent reputation. The firm has a long-standing presence in Kent and is regarded as one of the best in the UK, offering a hybrid working pattern and comprehensive benefits. The role can be tailored to the candidate's experience and career aspirations, whether in advisory or compliance-focused work.

The successful Personal Tax Manager will be responsible for:

  • Preparing personal tax returns for a diverse client base
  • Monitoring the progress of tax returns to ensure timely submission to HMRC
  • Advising clients on tax liabilities and relevant planning opportunities
  • Liaising directly with clients to ensure accurate and prompt completion of tax returns
  • Handling technical queries in areas such as Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax, and related reliefs
  • Identifying tax planning opportunities and collaborating with partners
  • Managing routine HMRC enquiries from start to finish
Requirements

The ideal candidate will be:

  • ACA/ACA/CTA or ATT qualified with 5+ years of tax experience
  • Experienced in managing a client portfolio
  • Capable of working effectively within a team
  • Organized, meticulous, and diligent in their work approach

  • Salary between £50,000 and £70,000, negotiable based on experience
