A growing Chartered Accountancy practice in Newcastle-under-Lyme is seeking a Personal Tax Manager/Senior to manage a client base and prepare personal tax returns. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience and strong organizational skills. You will support clients and work with junior staff. As the Personal Tax Manager in a busy accountancy practice, you would be managing a client base and also dependent upon experience

A great opportunity has become available for a Personal Tax Manager / Senior at a growing and established Chartered Accountancy practice. As the Personal Tax Manager in a busy accountancy practice, you would be managing a client base and also dependent upon experience growing the portfolio as well. This role will be reporting directly to senior management and is an excellent opportunity to showcase your talents and grow within a practice to gather more experience and responsibility.

Job Description:

  • Preparation of personal tax returns, partnership returns and a small number of trust returns
  • Preparation of residential property capital gains tax returns
  • Preparation, review, and filing of P11d returns
  • Management and completion of the personal tax workflow
  • Meeting with clients to finalise tax returns and potential new clients
  • Reviewing junior member’s work
  • Supporting clients with personal tax-related queries
  • Supporting the senior manager and director with tax advisory and planning work.

For the Personal Tax Manager / Senior role, it would be good to see candidates with:

  • 3 years of experience in the preparation of personal tax returns.
  • Proactive individual
  • Strong organisational skills
  • AAT qual or QBE
  • Experience in IRIS would be an advantage
  • Being familiar with cloud software would be an advantage

This role is commutable from Congleton, Crewe, Sandbach, Kidsgrove, Alsager, Stoke on Trent, Newcastle under Lyme
