Job summary

Allstaff Recruitment is supporting a client in Luton to appoint a Personal Tax Manager on a full-time permanent basis. The role offers a salary of £51,300 to £61,200 and standard hours of 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday.

You will manage a portfolio of personal tax clients, act as the main contact for trustees and advisors, and lead tax planning opportunities while mentoring junior staff. A CTA, or ACA/ACCA with extensive personal tax and trust experience, is required.

Qualifications

• CTA or ACA/ACCA with significant personal tax and trust experience.
• Experience in UK accountancy or tax practice.
• Strong knowledge of UK personal trust, trust, and estate taxation.
• Experience managing a personal tax and trust client portfolio.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients.
• Act as main contact for clients, trustees and professional advisors.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Identify tax planning opportunities and assist Directors and Managers.
• Oversee the preparation and review of personal tax returns, trust and estate tax returns, and related compliance work.
• Deal with HMRC correspondence and enquiries.
• Provide technical input on a range of personal tax, trust, and estate matters.
• Keep up to date with changes in tax legislation.
• Manage, supervise, and mentor Personal Tax Seniors and junior team members.
• Ensure compliance with professional standards, ethical requirements, and internal firm procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
