A recruitment agency is seeking a Tax Manager responsible for overseeing the completion of individual and partnership tax returns. The candidate will manage a team, ensure high standards of tax work, and provide training and development. Applicants should have at least 5 years of management experience in tax compliance and be ATT qualified, with CTA preferred. This is a full-time position located in Leeds, UK.

The Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing the team in the completion of individual and partnership tax returns and will actively engage in monitoring the performance of the tax team and assisting with training and improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Proactively manage your own client allocation of personal tax cases
• Review tax work with a view to maintaining high standards
• Analyse team performance with a view to identifying any training needs
• Engage with the training and development of tax team members
• Monitor team performance and profitability
• Lead/assist on ad hoc tax advisory project as required
Candidate Requirements:
• Motivated self-starter with ability to multitask and complete assignments to deadlines.
• Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a practice environment in an income tax compliance role
• Broad exposure to income tax compliance issues and knowledge of tax regulations
• ATT qualified as a minimum, but CTA qualification would be preferred (would consider an excellent ‘qualified by experience’ candidate)
• Demonstrated responsibility for work delivery and quality
• Excellent communication and client relationship-building skills
• Collaborative team player with coaching and mentoring abilities
• Experience in dealing with NHS Superannuation issues would be an advantage
