Personal Tax Assistant Manager – Edinburgh
Salary: Up to £45,000 + Benefits | Hybrid Working

We are looking for a motivated and forward-thinking Personal Tax professional to join a leading firm in Edinburgh, where people come first. As a Personal Tax Assistant Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to work on complex challenges while making a meaningful impact for clients.

About the Role
In this dynamic role, you'll manage tax returns for OMBs, Partnerships, and high-net-worth individuals. The position offers a mix of compliance and advisory work, where you'll deal with the preparation and submission of annual tax returns, ensuring full compliance with tax regulations. You'll liaise with clients and HMRC, offering expert tax advice and regularly updating your technical knowledge.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation and submission of tax returns

  • Providing tax advice to clients

  • Liaising with HMRC on personal tax issues

  • Involvement in tax advisory work relevant to your skill level

  • Supporting junior team members and contributing to their development

  • Assisting with P11D reviews when required

  • Supporting business development and marketing initiatives

What We’re Looking For

  • CTA/ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent experience)

  • Strong technical knowledge and experience in personal tax

  • Proficiency with IT tools (Excel, Word, tax software)

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

  • Experience with supervisory duties and team management

  • Strong client focus and commercial awareness

  • A proactive problem-solver with the ability to work under pressure
