Job summary

PRO TAX in Manchester City Centre is seeking a Tax Senior to join our growing team in a hybrid role. You will manage a personal/mixed tax portfolio for a diverse UK client base, developing tax planning and advisory capabilities.

The role offers a clear progression path to Assistant Manager, a competitive salary of £35,000-£40,000, and a supportive environment with a strong focus on professional development and tax qualifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience managing a tax compliance portfolio (mixed or personal tax).
• Comfortable advising clients on queries and preparing personal tax returns.
• ATT/CTA/ACA qualification or working towards it.

Responsibilities

• Join an established tax team of over 30 members.
• Manage your own personal tax compliance portfolio of 150-200 clients across the UK.
• Work with business owners, HNWIs, and other individuals, assisting with a variety of tax queries.
• Support the wider team with tax planning and advisory matters.
• Mentor and develop Tax Assistants.

Your New Role:

• Join an established tax team of over 30 members.
• Manage your own personal tax compliance portfolio of 150-200 clients across the UK.
• Work with business owners, HNWIs, and other individuals, assisting with a variety of tax queries.
• Support the wider team with tax planning and advisory matters.
• Mentor and develop Tax Assistants.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

• ATT / CTA / ACA qualified (or working towards qualification).
• Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience managing a tax compliance portfolio (either mixed or personal tax focused).
• Comfortable dealing directly with clients and advising on a range of queries, including ad hoc advisory matters.
• Confident in preparing, reviewing, and submitting personal tax returns for a diverse client base.
