Personal Injury Casualty EL/PL Solicitor – Manchester

Personal Injury Solicitor – EL/PL – Manchester – The leading healthcare team of this national top tier firm is looking to hire an experienced employers liability / public liability solicitor to defend cases on behalf of public and private healthcare clients. Defendant EL/PL experience is preferred though claimant experience will be considered.

Summary

Nature of the role

The role involves acting for healthcare clients of the firm, particularly primary healthcare trusts and hospital trusts, to defend a range of matters. Cases may vary from straightforward slips ‘n’ trips to more complex issues including accidents at work, crush injuries, and accidents with needles.

You will develop your own caseload of fast track and multi-track EL/PL work while assisting on technical and complex matters. Due to the diverse client base, no two cases are the same. Expect challenging work and unique cases you won’t find elsewhere.

Day-to-day responsibilities

The successful candidate will manage their own caseload and handle all aspects of each case, including:

Client secondment and other opportunities

The role offers opportunities for secondment to a client hospital or trust, working closely with the in-house legal team. You will also work on complex matters with experienced colleagues.

The team emphasizes client training and business development, encouraging all members to participate. Mentoring and training less experienced staff, including Paralegals and Litigation Executives, is also part of the role.
