Job summary

BCL Legal is recruiting a Claimant Personal Injury Solicitor for their Leeds City Centre office. You will manage a portfolio of claims (predominantly EL/PL, with RTA and disease where relevant) and progress from instruction to settlement with a strong focus on client care and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 1-7 years PQE solicitor or equivalent experience.
• Draft legal documents including MOJ Portal submissions, witness statements, loss schedules, and correspondence.
• Liaise with clients, medical professionals and third parties.
• Conduct legal research and stay updated on personal injury law and procedures.
• Strong experience in managing caseloads independently.
• Solid litigation experience; EL and PL experience desirable.
• Excellent client care, negotiation and communication skills.
• Familiarity with the MOJ Pre Action Protocol and Civil Procedure Rules.

Responsibilities

• Manage and proactively progress your own portfolio of claims (EL/PL, RTA and disease) from instruction to settlement.
• Run cases from inception to settlement, replying to client and party correspondence.
• Own caseloads of pre- and post-litigation EL/PL and RTA files with focus on quality client care and efficient progression.

PI Solicitor

Salary: Negotiable depending upon experience and qualifications.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Claimant Personal Injury Solicitor to join a well-established law firm based in Leeds City Centre. The firm offer flexible and agile working, together with a positive work-life balance.

As a solicitor in the PI team, you will be responsible for managing and proactively progressing your own portfolio of claims (predominantly EL/PL but also to include RTA and disease claims), whilst keeping relevant parties updated. You will run the cases from initial instruction stage through to settlement and will review and reply to all correspondence and emails from the client and all parties in the claim.

You’ll take ownership of your own caseload of pre- and post-litigated EL/PL and RTA files, managing claims from inception to settlement. With a strong focus on quality client care and efficient case progression, you’ll play an important role within a highly experienced team.

About you/The role

• 1-7 years PQE solicitor or equivalent experience
