Job summary

Yolk Recruitment is partnering with a national law firm to recruit a Personal Injury Paralegal in Bristol. You will support with serious and catastrophic PI claims, working closely with senior case handlers to develop technical knowledge in this field.

The role offers hybrid working with two days in the Bristol office and three days from home, with salary up to £30,000 depending on experience and DOE. You will gain exposure to high-value cases while developing your PI expertise.

Personal Injury Paralegal

Bristol

Salary up to £30,000 DOE

Yolk Recruitment is working with a national law firm looking to recruit a Personal Injury Paralegal to join its Serious & Catastrophic Injury team in Bristol.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with claimant Personal Injury experience who wants to develop their exposure to more complex, high-value injury work.

Rather than being expected to independently manage a significant caseload, you will work closely with senior members of the team, assisting with serious and catastrophic injury claims. The position would particularly suit a Paralegal, Legal Assistant or PI Case Handler looking to build their technical knowledge while learning directly from experienced serious injury specialists.

The role offers hybrid working, with two days per week in the Bristol office and three days working from home.

This is what you will be doing

As a Personal Injury Paralegal, your duties and responsibilities will include:

• Assisting senior case handlers with serious and catastrophic personal injury claims.
• Helping with the day-to-day progression and organisation of complex PI files.
• Collating medical records, evidence relating to liability and evidence supporting uninsured losses.
• Organising client and expert meetings and conferences with Counsel.
• Liaising with clients, insurers, expert witnesses, solicitors and other parties.
• Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring matters are progressed in line with relevant service standards.
• Participating in regular case and risk assessment meetings.

The experience you will bring to the team

You will bring the following experience to the Personal Injury team:

• Previous experience within claimant Personal Injury, either handling claims or assisting with a PI caseload.
• Experience using a legal case management system.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A good approach to client care.
• An interest in developing your knowledge of serious and catastrophic injury work.

Previous litigation experience and experience using bundling software would be advantageous but aren't essential.
