I’m currently recruiting for a respected national law firm, ranked in the Legal 500, with a strong presence in Bradford. The firm has an opportunity for a Defendant Personal Injury Litigator to join its growing team. The Role

You will be responsible for handling a caseload of predominantly fast track Defendant Employer’s Liability and Public Liability (EL/PL) claims, with occasional low-value multi-track matters. The work is varied, mainly retail-focused and spans litigation from commencement through to trial, with some pre-litigation handling where necessary.

You’ll be supported by a modern case management system and a strong supervisory structure, allowing you to focus on quality legal work in a collaborative and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of Defendant EL/PL claims, primarily fast track
  • Handle matters from litigation through to trial
  • Occasionally deal with pre-litigation cases
  • Liaise effectively with clients, insurers and counsel
  • Maintain compliance with relevant protocols and court procedures
About You
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Defendant EL/PL litigation is required
  • Comfortable working independently on a busy caseload
  • Strong litigation and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Well-organised and client-focused with strong communication skills
