Job Description:

We are working with a reputable and progressive law firm that is looking to appoint a Personal Injury Legal Assistant to join their established and dynamic Personal Injury department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for helping clients and a background in personal injury or litigation to take the next step in their legal career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day support to fee earners and solicitors handling personal injury claims (RTA, EL, PL)
  • Draft correspondence, legal documents, and witness statements
  • Conduct legal research and liaise with clients, insurers, and medical professionals
  • Manage case files and ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural rules
  • Maintain accurate records and assist with case preparation for hearings and settlements
  • Handle administrative duties such as filing, scanning, and document management

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a legal assistant or paralegal in a personal injury department
  • Strong knowledge of the claims process and civil procedure rules
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management systems (e.g., Proclaim or similar)
