Job summary

CRA Consulting, in partnership with a well-established legal services provider, is recruiting a Fast Track Personal Injury Fee Earner to join its expanding team in Newcastle.

You will manage your own caseload of non-infant RTA claims, progressing matters from instruction through to settlement, with a focus on quality outcomes and client care.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate settlements and monitor court directions and deadlines.

Role: Personal Injury Fee Earner, Location: Newcastle, Salary: £29,000 - £37,000, Contract: Full time, permanent, remote

CRA Consulting is working in partnership with an established legal services provider to recruit a Fast Track Personal Injury Fee Earner to join its expanding team in Newcastle.

This is an excellent opportunity for a claimant personal injury professional with experience handling Fast Track Road Traffic Accident (RTA) claims and a solid understanding of the MOJ Portal.

You will manage your own caseload of non-infant RTA claims, overseeing matters from initial instruction through to settlement. With a focus on effective case management, quality outcomes and excellent client care, this role offers the chance to build on your existing experience within a well-established and growing personal injury department.

The Role

Joining an experienced and supportive team, you will take ownership of a caseload of Fast Track RTA matters, ensuring claims are progressed efficiently and in accordance with relevant procedures and deadlines.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of your files, assessing the merits of claims, reviewing supporting evidence and working towards achieving successful outcomes for clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a caseload of non-infant Fast Track RTA claims from instruction through to resolution.
• Progressing claims through the MOJ Portal and relevant litigation stages.
• Assessing liability, causation and quantum.
• Reviewing medical reports, witness evidence and other supporting documentation.
• Obtaining further evidence and witness statements where necessary.
• Drafting correspondence, pleadings and other relevant legal documents.
• Maintaining regular communication with clients and providing clear, timely updates.
• Liaising with insurers, opposing solicitors, medical experts and other third parties.
• Negotiating settlements with a view to achieving the best possible outcomes for clients.
• Monitoring court directions, key dates and procedural deadlines.
• Keeping case management systems and file records accurate and up to date.
• Ensuring compliance with internal procedures, quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Working closely with colleagues to support the wider team's performance and maintain a high standard of service.

About You

We are looking for an experienced claimant personal injury professional who is confident managing their own caseload and has a good understanding of Fast Track RTA claims.

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience handling Fast Track RTA claims.
• A good working knowledge of the MOJ Portal and associated claims processes.
• The ability to manage and progress a caseload independently.
• An understanding of personal injury litigation procedures and relevant deadlines.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines.
• A methodical approach to case management, with strong attention to detail.
• A proactive attitude and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience using legal case management systems and Microsoft Office.
