Are you caring, bright, enthusiastic, willing to learn a new skill, and looking to join the care industry? Whether you're an experienced carer or new to the field, we are seeking a night-time carer to support our young son. Experience with tracheostomy and ventilation care is advantageous but not essential; full, certificated training will be provided.

The role involves 9-hour, night-time waking shifts for a 6-year-old boy who is happy, adventurous, and very chatty. He has a tracheostomy and is ventilated overnight.

You will receive:

  • Standard rate starting from £26 per hour, with an enhanced rate of £21.81 to £28 per hour
  • A pension if eligible
  • 6 weeks per year pro-rata holiday
  • Full certificated training on all aspects of the role
  • The option of contracted hours or a casual contract, on a Personal Health Budget

Hours available:

  • 18 to 36 hours per week (2 to 4 night shifts)
  • Opportunity to work additional hours for holidays and sickness
  • Potential to increase shifts in the future

What’s Required:

  • Ability to carry out waking shifts, staying alert and vigilant
  • Flexibility in working hours to cover team members
  • Weekend work will be required
  • Some shifts over public holidays (e.g., Christmas) will be required, shared among team members
  • Support with use and care of tracheostomy and ventilator; full training provided
  • Support with life skills
  • Enhanced DBS check (cost covered by employer)
