This is a site-based role at our NCC Scotland in Inchinnan. The expected starting salary for the role is £51,000.

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Personal Development Lecturer. In this key role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education and training across a wide range of apprentice learners, ensuring that the delivery reflects the specialist skills, knowledge, and behaviours required to succeed in industry and society. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a crucial part in shaping the learning journey for our apprentices.

You will be responsible for:

  1. Developing and delivering engaging Personal Development lessons that support learners across the curriculum areas.
  2. Using the Meta-Skills framework to ensure all Personal Development sessions align with SDS requirements.
  3. Participating in Desktop Evaluations and quality reviews, supporting managers and the Quality Team to maintain high standards and drive improvement.
  4. Developing inclusive teaching, learning, and assessment resources to cater to all learners’ needs.
  5. Developing and delivering careers information sessions and offering career progression advice to learners.
  6. Following all safeguarding policies and creating a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment for all learners.
  7. Maintaining CPD by attending workshops, conferences and training sessions.

Knowledge and Experience:

Essential:

  1. Minimum of a Level 3 (or equivalent) education.
  2. Experience of delivering the Personal Development curriculum in an educational environment.
  3. Level 5 teaching qualification (TQFE for Scotland) (or commitment to achieve within two years of commencing course).
  4. Evidence of continuous professional development.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Educated to level 2 or above in English and maths.
  7. Excellent organisational skills.
  8. Knowledge, skills, and experience in Microsoft Office.

Desirable:

  1. Higher level construction-related qualification.
  2. Higher level education-related qualification.
  3. Experience of apprenticeship delivery.

Special Conditions and Requirements:

  1. This role may involve occasional travel and overnight stays.
  2. Full Driving Licence.
  3. This role requires an enhanced DBS/PVG for child workforce and children’s barred list check.
