JOB REF: CM0521

I am a 24-year-old young man seeking a Personal Care/Home Care Assistant to join my support team. Ideally, you will have experience supporting and promoting independence for individuals with Autism and other medical conditions such as epilepsy, mental health issues, and mobility challenges.

My disabilities significantly impact my physical and mental health, requiring daily support with living and healthcare needs.

When I am well, I enjoy hobbies like playing guitar and spending time with my dog.

You will receive:

  • £10.50-11.56 per hour, depending on experience and satisfactory completion of probation, competencies, and training
  • A pension if eligible
  • 5.6 weeks of paid leave per year, pro-rated
  • Full certified training on all aspects of the role

Hours available:

  • Minimum of 24 hours per week, to be worked in one 24-hour shift including night sleep-in, on a 4-week rota
  • Occasional opportunities for additional hours during holidays and sickness

What’s Required:

  • Support with personal and medical care
  • Experience with medication handling and administration (desirable)
  • A full driving license and own vehicle with relevant insurance is essential
  • Flexibility in working hours, including night shifts
  • Weekend work is essential
  • Reliability and a professional approach
  • Comfortable with dogs, as there is a pet dog in residence
  • A caring, compassionate, kind, and enthusiastic nature with a desire to make a difference
  • Good communication skills, both spoken and written, and computer literacy
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS check, with costs covered by the employer
