Job description

Personal Care Assistant / Support Worker - ST. NEOTS - PE19

I am a disabled man living in St Neots, near Cambridge, looking for someone who is available to provide care in my home and support me at work.

You will be required to work 36-42 hours per week as part of a team of 6 PA’s. You’ll share holidays and sickness cover too.

If you are a fun, energetic, diligent, caring and motivated individual then this could be the job for you.

On a day-to-day basis you will provide personal care including washing, showering, dressing, toileting and positioning/turning in bed. You’ll cook a variety of meals and help me look after my home too.

Additionally, you will be assisting me at work and travelling to my workplaces throughout the country attending the office for work, meetings, events, collaborations and team socials.

Providing assistance to go shopping, meet friends and family, and other social activities and sporting events is also part of this very varied role.

Training will be provided in all aspects of my care and requirements, including manual handling techniques.

I require individuals who can drive, live within a 30-mile radius of St Neots, and have few commitments at home.

Pay ranges from £12.50-£16.50 based on capabilities, experience, and progression in the role.

I employ a small and close team of care staff and require people willing to be flexible and work as a team to ensure my needs are met and I am not left without care.
