Job summary

UKCIL Ltd in the Barnard Castle area is seeking a dedicated Personal Assistant to support a 13-year-old boy. You will help with walks, park visits, and playing at home. He uses a wheelchair but can transfer with some assistance, and enjoys water-based activities when appropriate.

Hours are 5 hours per week during term time (usually on weekends) at £13.50 per hour, and 10 hours per week in school holidays, spread across weekends and weekdays. DBS check is required to start.

Qualifications

• DBS check required.
• Experience with wheelchair users preferred.
• Must be able to assist with outdoor activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the child with walks and park visits.
• Engage in activities at home and supervise play.
• Support with water-based activities when appropriate.
• Assist with wheelchair transfers and mobility as needed.
