Overview of the Job

Duties

• Help clients with grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene.
• As needed, assist clients with transfers and mobility.
• When needed, assist with feeding and meal preparation.
• As directed by care plans, provide medication and make sure all paperwork is completed.
• Keep clients’ surroundings safe and hygienic, which includes keeping living areas neat.
• To guarantee continuity of care, communicate clearly with patients, their families, and medical staff.
• Accurately record daily activities and any modifications to the client’s condition.

Skills

• A driver’s license is necessary.
• The car must be accessible.
• English language proficiency is necessary for productive interactions with clients and coworkers.
• Knowledge of care plans and the capacity to carry them out precisely.
• It is beneficial to have prior experience providing home care or working in a care home setting.
• Excellent communication abilities to establish a relationship with clients and their families.
• Fundamental IT abilities for communication with healthcare providers and paperwork.
• The capacity to function both independently and in a team-oriented setting.
