Job summary

Educato Limited is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant to support students with Special Educational Needs at a welcoming SEN school in Oldham. You will assist with daily personal care, help pupils access learning, and promote independence in a safeguarding-focused environment.

The role involves 8:30am–3:40pm, Monday to Friday, with a temporary contract and a potential temp-to-perm path. DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one) is required; enhanced safeguarding policies apply.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care support including toileting, changing, hygiene, and mobility assistance.
• Offer 1:1 or small-group support to students with complex needs.
• Assist with feeding and mealtime routines where required.
• Promote dignity, independence, and emotional wellbeing.
• Work closely with teaching staff, therapists, and the wider school team.
• Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding protocols at all times.
