Job Description:

This full-time position is for a personal assistant to support a young man near Morpeth in a friendly, family-oriented setting. The individual enjoys activities such as speedboating, theatre, festivals, and walks. The role involves 24-hour support with 2:1 care, including personal and medical care, meal preparation, and accompanying on social outings to support independence. The candidate must be caring, considerate, reliable, bubbly, and have a good sense of humor. Own car is essential for transportation, including driving an accessible vehicle. Medical or nursing background is beneficial but not essential, as training will be provided.

Requirements include a full UK driving license, non-smoking, and the ability to work a 2-week rotating schedule including alternate weekends. Hours are 42 per week, with pay at £16.41/hr during the day and £11.44/hr overnight (10 pm to 5 am). An Enhanced DBS check is required, and training in health and safety, safeguarding, moving & handling, food hygiene, and first aid will be provided.
