Job description

Personal Care Assistant for a teenage P/T @ £12.21/hr in Radstock - FTE - £23.8k - Radstock - BA3

Personal Assistant/Support Worker

Required for an active 13-year-old boy with Autism, ADHD, severe learning disability, and who is non-verbal in Bath, BA3. The role involves supporting access to the community and providing respite for the family.

PA required for 5 hours per week, preferably on a Saturday or Sunday, with occasional evenings. There is flexibility, and additional hours may be available during school holidays.

Pay rate: £11.44 per hour on weekdays and weekends.

The PA will work alone, supporting at home and in the community to build confidence in social activities such as swimming, parks, trampoline parks, and outdoor activities. The role includes providing companionship, encouragement, and prompting with toileting and post-care cleaning.

The ideal candidate will be mature, experienced and understanding of Autism and behavioral issues, with a calm but firm manner, patience, a good sense of humor, and energetic.

Car owner with a full, clean UK driving license is essential. Promoting safety and awareness of dangers in the community is important.

The role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check. Initially covering maternity leave, there is potential for a permanent position.
