PA required to support 13-year-old in Oldfield Park area of Bath.

Support required for 13-year-old girl who lives with mum and older sister in Bath, who will be in the house at the time of support. We are looking for a friendly, compassionate female PA who has experience with autistic children with selective mutism and demand avoidance.

The successful candidate will have experience of female presentations of autism and atypical presentations of autism such as PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance). As well as the experience of children who suffer from chronic constipation and demand avoidance.

The ideal PA will be someone who can provide a therapeutic low demand and low pressure way of providing support and has the flexibility to be child-led and led by the child’s interests, for instance creative activities such as Art and music. By creating a trusting relationship, it will empower the child to self-advocate.
DetailsLocation: Oldfield Park, BathHours: 4 hours per week term time & 8 hours week during school holidays.Pay: £12.21 Per Hour and will be paid through the PAYE schemeHoliday: 5.6 weeks per year including bank holidays (pro rata for part time).Start Date: ASAP.Duties to be discussed in full at interview but include creative play and meal preparation for gluten free diet.

Essential Requirements- DBS Check – To be funded by employer.- Must be female PA due to element of personal care- Clean driving license and own car- Experience with autistic children – particularly selective mutism and PDA as mentioned above.

Shifts:- Saturday’s -4 hours at weekends during term time and 8 hours at weekends during school holidays
