Personal Care Assistant for a senior lady P/T @ £12.21/hr in Billingham

Personal Care Assistant £12.21 per hour weekend cover (alternate weekends)

Also to provide holiday and sickness cover when required

An opportunity has arisen to join a team providing support to a lady living with MS in the Billingham area. The successful candidate will be reliable and have a positive approach to work. Experience of using a hoist and familiarity with one-person hoisting is desirable but full training will be given.

Cover is required on alternate weekends and would include a split shift. Proposed hours are:

• 8 am to 10:15 am
• 11:45 am to 12 pm
• 3 pm to 5 pm
• 9 pm to 10 pm

(daily total = 5.5 hours)

Duties to include

• Assist with personal care
• Assist with transfer from wheelchair to recliner chair
• Preparation of evening meal
• Support with personal care
• Assistance with medication

A degree of flexibility will be required to meet our client’s needs. Employment is contingent upon successfully completing a training session. As our client is clinically vulnerable, it is desirable that the applicant is fully Covid vaccinated. An enhanced DBS check will be required, with costs covered by the employer.
