Personal Care Assistant for a senior gentleman P/T@ £15.00/hr in Spennymoor - FTE - £29.3k - Spennymoor - DL16

Gentleman with a spinal injury, wheelchair user, requiring support both inside and outside his home. Responsibilities include personal care, domestic tasks, and social support. This role offers an opportunity to work as part of a private, self-employed care team in an adapted home, aimed at maximizing independence and promoting a safe working environment.

As a valued member of a positive care team, you will support the gentleman in maintaining his independent living skills, positively impacting his quality of life, while also developing your own personal and professional skills. The role primarily involves working weekends, with mornings from 8:15 to 10:15 am, evenings from 21:30 to 22:15 pm (paid for a full hour), and additional calls available throughout the week. An exercise call is scheduled from 17:00 to 18:00 pm Monday to Thursday. A driving license is advantageous for driving his vehicle to facilitate paid social outings. The schedule is flexible to suit your circumstances. Experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided to help you develop your care skills.
