Job Reference
(d27aef04) I am a 50-year-old woman with cerebral palsy and traits of Autism. I value details and stability, and have lived independently since age 18, supported by a PA for the past 16 years. My mobility has declined, but I can walk aided. I may ask for assistance with outdoor walks in my wheelchair, especially in good weather.
I tend to repeat things, which can be challenging for caregivers. I am kind, honest, and friendly, and I need a patient and understanding PA. I can shower independently but require help with dressing, especially socks and shoes. I enjoy writing cards and love music and singing, participating in a women's choir on Fridays.
I may need support with exercises and pain relief application. I enjoy shopping locally and at the shopping centre, often using a mobility scooter. I am a generally happy person but can have negative tendencies, which my sister helps me manage. I seek a PA who is honest, reliable, punctual, non-judgemental, adaptable, and has a good sense of humor, with understanding of Cerebral Palsy or brain damage.
As this role involves personal and medical care, female applicants aged 40+ are preferred. My home is non-smoking.
Services include meal preparation, personal and domestic care, social and leisure activities, and support to maintain independence. Training provided includes an essential PA guide, safeguarding, moving & handling, and autism/Aspergers awareness.
The schedule involves 10 hours per week, with pay at £11.44/hr. Specific working hours and additional details are outlined in the schedule.
