Position: Personal Care Assistant

Hours: 20 hr/wk @ £12.00/hr (FTE - £23.4k)

Location: Selby, YO8

About the Client:

A 57-year-old male with MS. He has a very outgoing personality and enjoys music, quizzes, and general comedy. He loves walks, audio-books (or someone reading to him), and has a small, friendly, hypoallergenic dog and a cat.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist with personal care needs.
2. Support mobility using electric and manual wheelchairs.
3. Provide assistance with medication and nutrient delivery through a PEG.
4. Conduct transfers using a hoist (training provided).
5. Engage in stimulating communication despite the client being non-verbal.

Requirements:

1. Experience with hoists is advantageous but not essential.
2. Good communication skills and patience are essential.
