Personal Care Assistant for a lady F/T @ £12.10/hr in Redcar - Redcar - TS10

My client is a young lady who is looking for carers to support her to live independently at home. Hours are full time and include sleepovers; days/hours are to be discussed with the client and her family. Duties will be discussed at interview.

You will be working with a lady who has learning disabilities and autism, to support her in her home on a 2:1 basis covering day shifts and overnight care for respite.

This role will see you supporting her with her personal care, where she requires hoisting to transfer her to the toilet and bath. She also requires support with preparing and providing food for her, including encouraging her to eat and drink.

She attends a day service where her social needs will be supported and fulfilled. She also enjoys visiting dog sanctuaries, shopping centres, cafes, and engaging in indoor activities such as scrapbooking or baking.

Previous experience of working with people who have learning disabilities and autism is preferable, and a minimum of 1 year of experience in health & social care is essential.

Requirements:

• Females only please. This post is GOQ eligible (personal care for a female).
• We are looking for someone who is caring, kind, compassionate, considerate, and has a fantastic sense of humour.
• Experience caring for someone in their own home.
• Non-smoker with good mental & physical stamina.
• Must have a full and valid UK driving license and be able to drive a mobility car.

Details:

• Up to 40 hours per week plus the opportunity for overtime.
• You will receive initial training and induction, along with regular supervision with the service user's family and established carers.
• Annual leave is 5.6 weeks per year pro rata.
• Training can be provided.

A DBS is required for this role, and experience in care is essential.
