Job Description:

Hi, my name is Darren and I am looking for caring, reliable and flexible people willing to learn new skills and to assist me in my daily life. I have a Spinal Injury caused by a RTA, which means I need full support to help me achieve independence.

I live in my own home, south of Manchester and like to enjoy life as much as possible. I take regular visits for pub lunches, shopping, cinema and motorbike shows. I have my own adapted vehicle which my Support Workers’ drive, therefore I require you to have a full driving license and be aged 21 years or over for insurance purposes.

If you have no experience in care, don’t worry because my Support Workers are trained in a wide range of specialist skills and are fully supported throughout. All Support Workers receive mandatory training with a full induction and orientation.
The role does require full personal care to be given on a daily basis and involves a level of technical ability with the various equipment that I use. Due to my level of injury, the role requires someone who is dedicated, pro-active and willing to learn lots of new skills and techniques.

Shift patterns: 12 hours 7am – 7pm day shift, 7pm – 7am night shift (once fully trained) and 7pm – 7am sleep shift.

Part time or full time hours are available.

In return staff receive an excellent starting pay of £13.00 per hour weekdays and £13.50 per hour weekends. This will increase after completion of training to £16.00 – £16.50 per hour. Enhanced rates are offered for bank holidays and during the festive period.

If you think this would be something you would be interested in, it would be great to hear from you. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the people we support. All successful candidates will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check for Regulated Activity which will include a check against both the Barred adult and children lists. We will fund this.

We are an equal opportunities employer.

Benefits:
• On-site parking
• Casual dress
• Flexible working hours
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Salary: £13.00-£16.50 per hour (on completion of full training)
