North Yorkshire Centre for Independent Living in Scarborough is seeking a part-time Personal Care Assistant to support a gentleman with advanced MS. The role involves caring for mobility, speech, understanding and behaviours, across a weekly minimum of 16 hours. Shifts run 9 am–1 pm and 9 pm–10 pm, with some waking night shifts and a rota that alternates weekends.

The role requires empathy, reliability, and experience in care work. The position offers regular hours and a supportive team.

Job description

A Personal Care Assistant is required to care for a gentleman who has advanced MS which impacts his mobility, speech, understanding and behaviours for a minimum of 16 hours per week.

There is a rota in place with alternate week/weekend hours for all staff members which means each PA get a fair weekly hours .

Care Work: 1 year (preferred)

Shifts are : 9 am till 1 pm and evening 9 pm till 10 pm

There will be some waking night shifts.

The rate of pay is £13.79 per hour
