A social care provider in Quarrington is looking for a reliable and empathetic individual to support a young male with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other needs. You will assist in social activities such as bowling and trampolining, ensuring the individual's safety and providing emotional support. Previous caring experience is essential. This role requires a car driver and owner with business insurance. Hours start at 2 hours per week, increasing during holidays.

To support a young male with activities within the community, he enjoys trampolining (would love for you to trampoline with him), bowling, cinema and crazy golf. The individual has a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, dyspraxia, sensory processing/modulation disorder and hypermobility along with social, emotional and mental health needs. Experience of neurological disorders such as absences would be an advantage. He is an intelligent and articulate boy who likes to talk about his interests and has an extensive collection of rocks, fossils and gemstones. He enjoys gaming on his Nintendo Switch and he loves to build lego models. He is also a talented artist who finds drawing a soothing exercise that helps him to feel calm. On occasion can display explosive behaviours which may present as challenging therefore any experience with this type of situation would be of great advantage.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The individual\'s needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required.
You have a responsibility as an employee to report all accidents to the employer immediately. You have a duty to report defects and/or hazards which may give rise to an accident. You are to ensure the safety of the individual at all times.
Due to the nature of the work for which you are applying, this post is subject to a satisfactory DBS disclosure (costs will be covered).

Hours per week: 2 hours per week increasing to 8 hours per week in the school holidays
Saturday, to be discussed, during school holidays may be looking for support for a full day on Saturday or Wednesday
