An excellent SEN school in Oldham is looking for a caring, patient and reliable Personal Care Assistant to join their team.

If you have experience working with children who are diagnosed with Autism / ASD, SLD / Severe Learning Difficulties, PMLD / Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties, SEMH /Social Emotional Mental Health, EBD / Emotional Behavioural Difficulties, or ADD / Attention Deficit Disorder then it’s highly likely we will be able to find a rewarding role for you.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide high-quality personal care and support for students with complex needs
  • Safely assist with moving & handling and use of hoists (training provided if needed)
  • Work closely with the teaching team to create a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment
  • Support students with their physical, emotional and social development
  • Encourage independence while maintaining dignity and respect

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience in a care, SEN, or health setting (moving & handling and hoist experience required)
  • Is compassionate, patient, and able to build positive relationships with children and young people
  • Can work as part of a team and follow care plans consistently
  • Is reliable, flexible, and committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
