Personal Care Assistant

• 8.5 hours per week at £11.44 per hour Monday – Wednesday – Friday - (Can be flexible on times and days)

Job Purpose:

• Part-Time Personal Assistant required to support a friendly lady with day-to-day activities, enabling her to maintain an independent and fulfilling life. Duties include driving her to a craft club every other Monday, encouraging her to walk and stay active, and ensuring she stays hydrated due to low blood pressure.

Work Duties may include / helping with:

1. Life skill support and learning
2. Social activities within the home and outside in the local community
3. Shopping for food and other items
4. Occasional cooking tasks
5. Providing general support and company
6. Ensuring the employer's home is hygienic and safe

Other requirements:

1. Working in a safe way and highlighting health and safety concerns
2. Assisting with management of employer's health risks
3. Establishing and maintaining effective communication
4. Maintaining confidentiality

Location: Within the Employer’s home

Requirements for applicant:

1. Good sense of humour
2. Ability to understand and deliver the needs of the employer
3. Some experience of providing life skill/learning support
4. Ability to undertake domestic activities
5. Flexible, reliable, and honest
6. An enhanced DBS check will be required
