Job summary

VMCH Aged Care in Ashwood, Victoria, is seeking casual Personal Care Assistants to brighten residents' days within a friendly team. You will follow Care Plans, respect resident preferences, and apply person-centred approaches while supporting activities tailored to each individual.

Shifts vary; please indicate preferred days and times. Applicants should have a Certificate III/IV in Aged Care or equivalent, and NDIS Worker Screening.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent and/or Certificate IV in Aged Care is required.
• Previous experience working in an aged care facility.
• Ability to build effective relationships and work within a team.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check.

About the role

We are looking for casual Personal Care Assistants to bring joy to our resident’s day. Working as part of a friendly and close-knit team, your focus will be:

• Providing support and care according to the Care Plan and residents preferences and strengths
• Applying person-centred care approaches to all interactions with residents
• Considering the residents individual needs, stage of life, development and strengths when engaging in support activities

About you

You are an enthusiastic, motivated, self-starter who is eager to develop a career in aged care. To be considered for these roles, you will need:

• Certificate III in Aged Care, Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing Specialisation), or equivalent and/or Certificate IV in Aged Care, Certificate IV in Ageing Support
• Previous experience working in an aged care facility
• Ability to build effective relationships and work within a team
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
