Job summary

Penderels Trust is seeking a Female Support Worker to assist a 46-year-old wheelchair user in Long Itchington. The role involves personal care, meal support, and transport to social activities. You will read printed materials aloud and act as a scribe when writing is needed, while ensuring safety and DBS compliance.

The position is part-time, on-site, with mileage covered at a set rate. A valid car and business insurance are required, along with a proactive, compassionate approach to home care

Qualifications

• Experience assisting with personal care tasks and mobility.
• Ability to read aloud or scribe for someone who is vision impaired.
• Willingness to drive and accompany to activities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support with toileting, bathing, dressing and daily living tasks.
• Assist with cooking, meals, and hydration.
• Provide transport to activities and accompany to events.
• Encourage socialisation and participation in leisure activities.
• Read print materials aloud and act as a scribe where required.
• Maintain safety and report any accidents or hazards.
