Job Description
The Environment Agency is fully committed to having an inclusive workforce that reflects the communities we serve. We seek, embrace, and live diversity for the benefit of our staff, communities, and environment.
We have two exciting opportunities for Personal Assistants (PAs). One PA will join the Environment & Business, Business Support Team, and the other will support Sarah Cook, Director of People and Assurance, in the Strategy, Transformation and Assurance Directorate. PAs enable our senior leaders to focus on creating better places for people and wildlife and supporting sustainable development.
As a naturally organized individual, you will enjoy multi-tasking and prioritizing. Your responsibilities include managing calendars, booking accommodation and travel, and triaging email traffic with excellent judgment. You will anticipate leaders' needs and administer support to keep us on track. You will join a supportive community of professional administrators who value helping each other succeed. Flexible working practices will allow you to manage your work-life balance effectively. We believe happy, healthy people make our organization great, and we encourage you to bring your whole self to work.
You will prioritize teamwork and be part of an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued.
The team
You will join our Business Support Team, based in the Environment and Business Directorate. The team is dispersed across the country, providing support to the Directorate's Executive Directors. The second PA will work directly with Sarah Cook.
The Environment Agency promotes a positive, inclusive culture where everyone is valued. We use evidence, expertise, engagement, and innovation to enhance delivery, influence policy, legislation, and secure resources.
Experience/skills Required
Development opportunities and training will be provided.
Contact and additional information
You will have an incident management objective in your development plan, with support to find a suitable role and training provided. The role is flexible regarding location, with an EA Office base, and some travel may be required. Use of smart tools will facilitate remote work.
