Personal Assistant / Tutor needed for an 18-year-old boy with Autism in Leeds LS16, Cookridge.

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Personal Assistant to support my son, who is now 21 years old and studying at Leeds City College Joseph Priestley Centre. His current PA, who works 2 hours per week, is leaving as she prepares for university exams, so we need a new PA.

Responsibilities

• Assist with leisure activities such as playing games, reading books, badminton in the garden, biking, walking, and trips to the library or Headingley shopping to promote independence.
• Teach and facilitate activities that you enjoy, like yoga or gardening.
• Occasionally accompany him to places like trampoline parks.

Requirements

• Reliable, enthusiastic, with some understanding of Autism.
• Experience working with children with Autism is preferred but not essential.
• Able to work 1-2 hours per week, after school or on weekends, at home or in the community.
• Salary ranges from £12.50 to £15 per hour, depending on experience, paid via Leeds CIL.
