Brighton College is seeking to appoint a Personal Assistant to the Vice Principal on a permanent contract, working term-time (33 weeks) plus an additional six weeks each year (39 weeks in total).
Main Purpose of the Role: The Personal Assistant to the Vice Principal will provide highly effective, discreet and proactive senior executive support, enabling the Vice Principal to operate as effectively as possible across the full breadth of their responsibilities.
The Vice Principal plays a significant role in the strategic and operational leadership of the Brighton College group. As well as leading the successful Development and Engagement Team, the Vice Principal oversees a number of key global initiatives, including the group’s Artificial Intelligence strategy.
This is a high-trust role for an exceptionally organised, capable and personable individual who can anticipate requirements, manage competing priorities and exercise excellent judgement. The postholder will often be entrusted with sensitive and confidential information and will need to operate with absolute discretion, sound judgement and professional maturity.
The role will combine traditional executive assistance with a significant degree of coordination, communication and project support. The successful candidate will become an important point of contact for the Vice Principal and will help ensure that their time, commitments and priorities are managed effectively.

Hours of Work
Monday to Friday 8.30am-5.00pm with a 60-minute unpaid lunch break (37.5 hours per week). This role is term-time (33 weeks) plus six additional weeks (39 weeks total). This role offers flexibility in both working hours and weeks worked. The position may be considered on a 30 hour per week basis and the number of additional weeks worked can be agreed following discussion at interview.
Remuneration
A salary in the range of £29,418 - £32,780 per annum will be offered depending on the successful candidate's skills and experience. The FTE salary range for this role is £35,000 - £39,000 per annum. Please note, the salary banding may change depending on the agreed hours and working weeks.
Holidays
Holiday entitlement is included in the salary for this role. All holiday is to be taken outside of the working weeks.
