Help shape the smooth running of a leading care organisation

Belong is a pioneering not-for-profit organisation supporting older people to live well — with a particular focus on creating dementia-friendly communities. Our Executive Board plays a vital role in setting the direction, governance and values of our organisation.

We're now looking for a Personal Assistant (PA) to the Executive Board to provide high-quality support at the heart of our leadership team. This is a key role with a broad range of responsibilities — combining diary and meeting management with formal governance support, regulatory coordination, and direct interaction with senior colleagues and stakeholders.

Based at our Central Services office in Nantwich, with the commitment to be on site each day, the PA will ensure the Board has the information, time and structure it needs to lead effectively.

What you’ll be doing

  • Providing day-to-day support to the Chief Executive and Executive Board, including diary management, document handling, and planning
  • Supporting the delivery of effective Board and Committee meetings (Audit, Remuneration, Quality & Safety) including minute taking, agenda preparation, and venue coordination
  • Coordinating key regulatory submissions to Companies House, the Charity Commission, and the Financial Conduct Authority
  • Managing internal communications and acting as a trusted point of contact for senior managers, Board members, and external visitors
  • Assisting with CQC regulatory notifications and records
  • Supporting projects and administrative duties for Central Services and Operations teams as required
  • Maintaining the Board portal, visit schedules, and document systems with high attention to detail
  • Ensuring executive-level communication is professional, timely, and well-prepared

What we’re looking for

We’re seeking a professional and adaptable PA who brings a mix of experience, reliability and attention to detail. You'll need to be able to manage confidential information sensitively and support multiple stakeholders with competing priorities.

You’ll also have:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a senior PA, governance or administrative role
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Confidence in Microsoft Office and digital systems
  • Proven ability to take minutes accurately and manage complex schedules
  • A calm, friendly manner and a solution-focused approach
  • High standards of discretion, professionalism and service delivery
  • NVQ Level 2 or above in Administration (or equivalent qualification) NVQ level in Business Administration is desirable
  • Access to your own transport (some travel may be required)

How we work – our values

At Belong, our values shape how we treat each other, make decisions, and deliver care. You’ll be expected to work in a way that reflects them:

  • Stronger Together – you’ll work closely with others, sharing information and building positive relationships across teams
  • Be Your Best – you’ll take pride in your work, staying organised and proactive, even under pressure
  • Better Tomorrow – you’ll help improve systems and processes, contributing to a culture of learning and growth
  • Care from the Heart – you’ll act with kindness, empathy and discretion when dealing with sensitive matters
  • Respect for All – you’ll treat everyone you support fairly and professionally, recognising their individual needs and responsibilities

What we offer

  • A key role at the centre of a respected, purpose-led organisation
  • A supportive team environment with a shared sense of purpose
  • Opportunities to develop your skills in governance, compliance and operations
  • Competitive salary and benefits
  • Access to staff wellbeing and development programmes
