Job Description:
  • Provide effective, efficient, customer-focused, and confidential administrative support to the Director, assisting in meeting their role requirements.
  • Plan, organise, and prioritise own work and coordinate with the Director, contributing to team planning to ensure timely completion of tasks. Disseminate information and guidance across the PA Business Support staff within the 'cluster'.
  • Support the wider PA team supporting the Extended Leadership Team, ensuring effective processes and systems, preparing reports, and providing support to the Director and wider Directorate Management Team (DMT) as needed.
  • Require extensive knowledge of the council and the ability to operate in a busy, politically sensitive environment.
  • Manage diaries, monitor emails, screen calls, prepare reports, interpret data, and provide recommendations. Organise workload efficiently, acting with trust and integrity within a political environment.
Reporting procedure:

The candidate will be line managed by the Business Resource Manager and will oversee 2 PAs supporting Assistant Directors in the Resources Directorate.

This role covers a sickness absence, so no specific project milestones are set.

The PA supports only 1 Director; therefore, team working is necessary but cross-body collaboration is not required.
