NHS Ayrshire & Arran is recruiting for a Personal Assistant to join the Medical Director’s Admin Team at University Hospital Ayr. This fixed-term post is 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, for 12 months, based in Ayr.
You will provide dedicated PA and administrative support to two Associate Medical Directors, requiring an HND or equivalent in business administration, NHS PA experience, excellent Minute taking and MS Office skills, and a valid UK driving licence.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Medical Director’s Admin Team, in a Personal Assistant role based at University Hospital Ayr.
This post is offered on a fixed term basis, for 12 months, and is worked over 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
A UK driving licence is essential for this role.
You will provide a dedicated, professional and comprehensive PA and administration service to two Associate Medical Directors, ensuring an effective, proactive and high standard of support. You will have excellent organisational and communication skills and have the ability to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team. The ability to work unsupervised whilst using your own initiative is essential, as is being able to work to challenging timescales by organising and prioritising your workload accordingly. Having the flexibility to adapt to change and last-minute demands is essential.
You will possess an HND or equivalent in business administration; extensive PA experience within an NHS environment; and an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages. You should be highly experienced in taking accurate minutes and have excellent interpersonal skills.
To work in the United Kingdom, there is a legal requirement for an individual to demonstrate that they have the relevant permission to work in the country. This permission is, without exception, granted by the UK Visa and Immigrations Service.
