I’m a very independent and social individual; however, I have CFS (chronic fatigue syndrome)/ME, FND (functional neurological disorder), & other conditions that require support to maintain balance, energy levels & recharge. My hobbies & interests vary depending on energy, pain, season, company, etc. I love animals, gardening, nature, herbology, homeopathy, psychology, TV series, computer games, board games, cooking, baking, audiobooks, and creating art. As I am registered blind, some hobbies and activities may need to be adapted or supported.

The role requires understanding, supportive, enabling, and empowering attitudes, with flexibility as health can fluctuate. I currently have guinea pigs and hope to adopt more animals or get a service dog in the future. Candidates must be comfortable with animals.

Main Tasks:

• Personal care
• Laundry / domestic chores
• Meal preparation (healthy eating)
• Supporting access to community, appointments, shopping (using a wheelchair)
• Minor correspondence/admin support (e.g., emails, phone calls)

Support levels vary depending on health and pain levels.

• DBS check required (or portable DBS)
